Kindergarten Parent

There is so much to love about Annunciation Day School.

My daughter has attended ADS all through preschool and started kindergarten this past fall. She has thrived at this school. She adores her teachers, her classmates, and all of the activities that the school provides. Every morning, she eagerly anticipates her school day and each afternoon, she comes home happy and excited to share her day with me. Early education is paramount to establishing a love of learning that student will carry throughout their entire lives. ADS creates and fosters this type of environment. From an early age, the focus is not just on learning the basics but also nurturing curiosity, imagination and a desire to be a responsible, respectful and kind individual.

As a parent, I rest easy that my child is in the best and most capable hands while she is at school as well as during the aftercare and after school activities. What I find unique about ADS is how the intersection of parents, teachers, students and administrators form such a beautiful sense of community. There is so much enthusiasm from the parents to contribute to enhancing the school experience for the students and an excitement to be able to participate. The opportunities both during and outside of school hours to be involved are so fun for everyone. Even as a working parent, I am thrilled when I am able to find time to participate. I have been a room parent for 3 years and an active member of the Parent Volunteer Association and I absolutely love it. In addition, my daughter feels a part of that community as well. She feels connected not just to her class but also to the principal, teachers from other grades, the older students and even other parents.

Over the last 5 years, I have seen the progress that ADS has made. The possibilities for this school are limitless because of the foundation that was created and that we continue to build upon. The biggest testament to how phenomenal this school is came about this spring, as they were able to transition to virtual learning seamlessly. While other districts took weeks to figure it out, ADS was connecting with their students and teaching in one day. Communication to keep parents updated has been flawless. Despite feeling the initial loss of having to be at home instead of in school, parents, teachers and students have found other ways to connect with one another through social media and virtual activities. We are truly grateful and blessed to be a part of the ADS family.
