Head of School Welcome
Welcome to Annunciation Day School! Our ethos is at the heart of everything we do being “Centered in Christ, Children and Community”. We are proudly diverse, welcoming students from all backgrounds from across the globe. We strive to create an environment that inspires a love of God, a love of learning, and a love of each other.
We have a prime location on Clairmont Road. A short drive from Downtown and Atlanta’s suburbs.
Here at ADS, we provide a holistic education that ensures that every child thrives and is instilled with a love of learning. From our range of academics in the classroom to our clubs and sports. Every day offers something exciting and different for our students.
Founded in 2002, Annunciation Day School is proudly a ministry of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation. Over the past two decades, we have grown rapidly to where we are now with our Pre-school and K-8th provision.
At the core of any successful school are its teachers. We pride ourselves on a diverse and highly educated faculty and staff. We have teachers from across the United States and the world, as well as over 70% of our staff holding master’s degrees or higher. The students are taught by true professionals who love education and want the very best for each and every student. Our small class ratio ensures that each and every child gets the care and attention they need to thrive in their most formative years of education.
Teachers follow the Georgia Standards of Excellence. Like all schools, we have the core subjects such as Math, Language Arts, and Science but we also offer the unique opportunity to learn Greek from Pre-K and all of our children attend the services in the Cathedral on a bi-monthly basis for liturgy and prayer.
Beyond the classroom, we are deeply involved with the local and wider community from Shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse to supporting cancer patients at Atlanta Hope Lodge. Children in all grades learn the value of giving back to and helping the community. We love our after-school activities such as our Spartan Sports league including soccer, where we are the MAAC Division champions, volleyball and basketball.
From the moment you enter our school, you will feel what makes us so unique. It would be my pleasure to welcome you here so you can see for yourself.
